LE MONSIEUR FLASH
PHOTOGRAPHER, GRAPHIC DESIGNER, CO-FOUNDER, CURATOR
Born in Paris, France, he lived in London for several years as a teenager for family reasons. Influenced by this early international experience and his contact with the club culture that was growing up there at the time, he was drawn to the world of night catering at an early age.
He first learned the trade in various roles in the famous Parisian nightclubs before becoming an event manager himself and designing and publishing a magazine about nightlife in various French cities.
Deeply connected to the camera from an early age, photography played an increasingly important role in his work. After the birth of his son, he left the nightlife, trained as a graphic designer and founded and managed a communications company (comprehensive PR and graphic design concepts, primarily for bars, restaurants and events).
During his numerous travels around the world, he carefully studied different cultures and ways of life and formed his philosophy of the “stateless citizen of the world”.
In 2013, his focus shifted to artistic photography and to Vienna, followed by extensive projects in public spaces (e.g. Visible Village, Austria), often based on social or humanitarian themes, and participation in exhibitions, fairs and symposia, especially in Austria. His particular perspective on the art world “from the outside” gave rise to the idea of creating an art space that focuses on people and, in 2020, the founding idea of the Ministry of Artists.
He puts his many years of extensive experience, his wealth of knowledge and his skills at the service of this vision.
His photographic work is project-based and focuses on portraits as well as humanitarian and socio-political themes.
